NY Times Article: The Female Factor

How do women feel about equal rights today? Are women progressing around the world in attaining better jobs and social standing?

The NY Times  posted an article disscussing a new survey accross 22 countries that showed a large gap between the sexes when it comes to equality. Even in nations where equal rights are mandated, women continue to struggle to balance home and work.

The article has some interesting statistics on which countries promote equal rights and which ones struggle to even let women work outside of the home.  For example, half or more of those asked in India, Pakistan, and Egypt say that a university education is more important for a boy.
