Sheena’s first dream was to work in the fashion industry. Visual creativity and business were two skills that came naturally to her. As a kid, she was always working on a bunch of different projects and was known as the artsy one.
In high school, while running track and cross country, Sheena discovered a curiosity for nutrition and exercise. She went to school for Nutrition and Food Science at Drexel University, where she was active in the environmental community and competed on the Triathlon team. She placed in the Top 5 of 3 different triathlons and 2 duathlons between 2010 and 2012.
Sheena loved spending her summers and breaks during college traveling. She managed to work, study, and travel in all of the continents except Antarctica by the time she was 21. Sheena also continued to cycle after her time on the Drexel Triathlon Team and made a cross-country bicycle trip in 2011 from Princeton, NJ to Nashville, TN.
Sheena graduated from Drexel University in 2011 and went on to get her credential as a Registered Dietitian-Nutritionist. She founded her company, Nutritious Balance, in 2013 and continued to work in nutrition full-time for the next three years.
When she was twenty-four, Sheena moved to New York City. After moving into the city, Sheena competed in her first pageant, Miss New Jersey USA. A year later, she competed in her second pageant, Miss New York USA. In 2015, Sheena won the title of Miss East Coast U.S. Supranational and went on to compete on the national level at Miss U.S. Supranational.
While competing in pageants, Sheena began contributing to various publications as a health and food writer. She soon branched out to include writing about fashion, culture, beauty, travel, and lifestyle. She actively writes for Brown Girl Magazine and India.com. In 2015, Sheena left a full-time nutrition job to work in fashion, and to continue putting time into her acting and modeling careers. During this time, Sheena fell in love with acting, more than she expected to. As she started putting more time into her acting career, she began putting time back into running Nutritious Balance (www.nutritiousbalance.com).
