Subat Bashir is an English Literature graduate with a passion for post-colonial literature; you can usually find her scouring the shelves in her local bookstore. A British Muslim of Pakistani heritage, Subat has a keen interest in identity-politics and the conciliation of multiple identities in ethnic minorities (she's still grappling with unifying her own!). She is deeply concerned with the representations of South-Asians, and Muslims in popular media and how these sustain and augment racist behaviours and Islamophobia in wider society. Subat works in Quality Assurance in the Higher Education sector.
