While florals may be all the rage during spring, so is the timeless color black. I think it’s time to ditch the idea that if it’s black, you can’t wear it for spring/summer. It is super easy to incorporate this color into any of your spring looks; and yes, I’m talking about more than just a black tank top paired with your denim shorts.
Gotta see it to believe it? Don’t sweat it! Here are three looks that I’ve put together that’ll show you how it’s a breeze to rock black in spring!

1. The Go-To No-Brainers: Leggings and Shoes
The first option is to incorporate black tights or shoes. There are many options here because you can choose what kind of tights you would like to wear as well as shoes that correlate with your style. Below, you’ll see me in all black everything, but it’s the perfect spring look if you ask me! There’s even that pop of color with the purse.
A denim dress with floral embroidery is perfect for the season. Black leggings that are “in” all year round and black booties to throw it all together. The beauty of this look is that the black booties can easily be paired with light-washed distressed denim jeans and statement tee; the floral dress can be worn as a stand-alone piece. Bottom-line: black is such a versatile color, it goes with literally EVERYTHING!
2. Black Maxis for the Win
The next option would be to wear a black dress. We all love an LBD — little black dress— but why not a black maxi dress to kick off the season at your next big event? The options are endless! I chose this maxi with gorgeous bead detailing for a party. I also paired it with a black and silver blinged out clutch. Because hey, why not? Trust me when I say that the color black in spring is inevitable!
Dress or top? You decide.
Here I styled a black midi dress as a part of my OOTD while I was out shopping and running errands. These kinds of pieces are great because you can get so much use out of them and every time it will be a different look. Transitional pieces for the win!
