I know, I know – you hear, read about, and see a million things talking about staying hydrated in the summer every day. But have you ever stopped to think about why this is important and how you can implement it in your everyday life? Staying hydrated isn’t just good for your skin but also for your health. Hydration boosts overall energy, can keep you full longer, and is just an overall healthy daily practice. A person should be consuming eight glasses of 8 ounces a day!
So here are some quick, easy, and fun ways to stay hydrated in the summer:
Infused Water
I know this is a mainstream trend, but infusing your water with fresh fruits and veggies not only tastes delicious and refreshing but also is a great way to stay healthy and get your daily fruit and veggie intake. Cut up fresh cucumbers, limes or lemons, watermelon, or even add berries and apples; try a new recipe every day, and maybe buy a diffuser water bottle!
Tea, Tea, Tea
Don’t get me wrong, I love coffee, but unfortunately, coffee is dehydrating even if it’s decaf. Try replacing your coffee with black tea and if this seems unbearable go for an afternoon green tea or evening chamomile tea. Tea is a great way to keep hydrated – Starbucks and other coffee shops even have delicious iced green teas perfect for summer!

Sparkle City
By now I am sure you’ve heard of La Croix – the soda alternative. While it may seem mainstream and ridiculous, sparkling water is a great and tasty way to get that daily intake. Water can get boring if it’s the only thing you drink all day so adding a bit of carbonation won’t hurt.
Ice, Ice Baby
You heard it here first kids, ice pops aren’t just for kiddos! Make adult ice pops with frozen chunks of fruit in a creative popsicle mold as a fun way to stay hydrated this summer. Not only will this be a good way to stay hydrated but it also may even curb your ice-cream cravings as well!
Drink Up to Stay Hydrated
Whichever way you choose to have your water this summer, just make sure you get enough of it! Staying hydrated in this heat is very important.
