Karthik Soora
Karthik Soora grew up in Arkansas involuntarily until he became a Texan by choice when he was accepted into Rice University. After graduating, he taught in the Houston Independent School District for 3.5 years before working on One Jump, an educational non-profit that is now Momentum Education. He worked on the US Senate campaign of Conner Eldridge and subsequently obtained an MBA at the Yale School of Management, focusing on clean energy. He currently works in clean energy and lives in Houston with his wife Shivani and rescue dog Bhoomi. He is a Co-founder of TheySeeBlue Texas and is active in progressive politics. He is grateful to the signatories of this piece and the next generation of Texas's South Asian leaders who fight hard for a better world.
