Eating Indian Food on Valentine’s Day: Check Yo Self Before You Wreck Yo Self

by Soni Satpathy-Singh

Why is it that in general, people don’t associate Indian cuisine with fine, elegant or romantic dining like, say, Italian or French food? It’s not considered a sexy cuisine, which boggles my mind because, hellooo, Indian food comes from the land of Kama Sutra. Surely, surely, Indian food is conducive to gettin’ it on?! Especially on Valentine’s Day!

Many people say that Indian food has been known to do a lil’ number on their systems; they fear making it their go-to cuisine when they’re trying to partake in balle balle bedroom antics later in the night. All that Indian food gas apparently eclipses their sass.

For those of you who fear the spice, this comic is for you— a friendly reminder of things to consider if you end up dining at an Indian restaurant this February 14th.

Know thyself. Know thy body. And know what to order!

Happy Valentine’s Day, loves!
