If there is something that I’m always careful to control and relieve, it has to be dark under-eye circles. It’s obvious that lack of sleep, stress, and other factors take a toll on us, and one of the primary ways these things show on your face is through these dark circles.
I get so many questions about dark under-eye circles and I know that a lot of us spend lots of money buying products that can help control the issue. Although there are some great store-bought products you can invest in, I continue to suggest this one quick and easy, do-it-yourself remedy that you can make right at home.
This is such a simple trick to lighten those babies and all you need to do is dig through your pantry for one common household product. Don’t believe? Here’s my secret: baking soda and a few drops of agua (water)!
Here’s what you need to do:
Mix 1 part baking soda with 1/4 part water and whisk until you get a paste.
Use a cold spoon to apply the mixture to your under-eyes. The cold spoon helps to depuff and provides a cooling effect, everything you need to help with any swelling.
Leave this mixture on for 10 minutes and then wipe it away—GENTLY—with a wet towel. You don’t want to be too harsh when wiping the mixture off your face because baking soda can be very abrasive. Be even more careful if you have sensitive skin!
Follow this routine with your preferred under-eye cream. I used my favorite Ginseng Eye Cream to brighten and depuff!
Do this once a week and you’re bound to see a difference!
This quick video tutorial shows you exactly how it’s done!
