Having been born in Houston, schooled in Missouri, resided in New York City and now living in Los Angeles, Keertana Sastry has a unique perspective on being Indian in different parts of America. Keertana has worked for Brown Girl since 2010 as an entertainment and culture reporter — in 2017, she became the managing editor of Entertainment for the publication. Keertana also works as a casting associate in Hollywood, currently at 20th Century Fox Films. She loves to infuse her Indian heritage into her work and life, and promote strong women in front of and behind the camera, in both Hollywood and South Asian film.
